March 4. John Beanfied was brought up at the Magistrate's Court this morning charged with shooting at John Spring, with intent to kill, and was remanded till Wednesday.

A company has just been formed to work certain deposits recently discovered on a block of land in the White Cliffs district. The deposits include a twenty feet eeam of pure silica clay, two seams of coal, a large seam of plumbago, and several seams of various clays, all rich in silica.
