A BYE-LAW TO REGULATE THE HOURS AT WHICH IT SHALL BE LAWFUL TO BATHE WITH7N THE BOROUGH OF NAPIER. Byelaw of the Council of the Borough of Napier, made under special order of the said Council, dated the sth day of Janu-uy, 1881, conflraied on the 2nd day of Febiaaiy, 1881, and sealed with the common seal of the said Covnoil the said 2nd day of February, 1881. In pursuance of Sub. Section (r) of Subdivision (4) of Clause 349 of " 'lac Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," the; Counoil of the Borough of Napier ordain as fol'ows t— 1. It shall not be lawful for any ti bathe witWn, or within one mile of th-s boundaries of the Borough of Napier, except at the following times and places, viz. :— (a). In the sea. extending from the Pilot ReBerve at the Eastern Spit along the Sea Beach to the end of the Coote-road; between the hours of 9p.m. and 7 am. (P Tn. any other watera within, or within one mile of the boundaries of the Borough of Napier, between the hours of 9 x> m. and 7 a.m. Frovided that bathing shall be permitted at all hours in such waters (excepting the sea), as may be not less than 3CO yards from any public road. 2. Any peraon bathing Iα the sea, or in any liver or other watera within, or within one mile from the boundaries of the said Borough, except at the times and places herein before respectively specified, shall be deemed guilty of an offence, and for every euoh offence shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding the sum of Five Pounds. 3.
