AUCKLAND.

February 25. Edward Hant Jagger was charged at the Police Court to-day with forging a promissory note, uttered in the case of Purcell, a bankrupt. He was remanded. James Earnest Bell, the station-master at Otaupo, was charged at the Auckland Court to-day with embezzling £83 of Government money, and remanded. Mr Buchanan's dwelling house at Paninure has been burned down.
