February 24. Skafhorpe's brother telegraphed to jMr Dufaur that Skuthorpe has declined to give even him any information regarding the Leichardt relics. Tbe brother further expresses a doubt as to the bona fides of the discovery. Later accounts confirm the previous reports of the hopeful prospect of the goldfield at Mount Poole, in the Grey ranges, on the weetern border, but at the same time it is said to be somewhat risky, as the route to the ranges is short of water, and rushers to the field must have means.
