The s.s. Result, Captain Baxter, returned from Wairoa at 2.30 p.m. yesterday, bringing several passengers and a email quantity of cargo. The steamer "Rosina, Capt. T. Scott, arrived at noon to-day from Gisborne, which place she left last night. Experienced a fresh southerly wind with smooth sea throughout. She brings a full load of grass seed consigned to Messrs Kinross and Co.
The three-masted schooner Mary Wadley, Captain J. Ball?, was taken outside by the Sir Donald at 4.30 p.m. yesterday, and sailed for Greyiroutb during the night.
The 5.9. Maori, Captain Anderson, steamed for the Wairoa at about 10 o'clock last night, taking a good cargo and three passengers.
The 8.9. Go-A head, Captain F. M. Dicker, left Wellington at 6 o'clock on Wednesday night; arrived at Castle Point at the same hour next morning ; landed passengers, mails, and cargo, and left at 10 o'clock, arriving here at 9.45 o'clock last night. She yrns brought inside at 5.30 a.m. this day, and moored at the cattle wharf, where she disher cargo, some 30 tons. She ex,-. "'" Wellington at 5 o'clock to-night, steams iv» " ; Copt. The schooner Silver Cloud was shifted yip the breastwork on to the sand bank opposite Messrs Kinross and Co.'s wool store yesterday evening, where she is to be heeled over to have tho necessary repairs effected upon her bottom.
