Passenger Mr Balfour. ♦_. • The brigantine Magellan Cloud was taken outside by the pilot at about 8.. o clock last night, and sailed for Whangarei shortly afterwards in ballast. . , The topsail schooner Mary Ggdvie sailea for Havelock at 9.30 a.m. this day in ballast. The Union Steam Ship Company s launch Boojum, Captain Mabbett, steamed for the Wairoa afc 9.30 a.m. this day taking a small quantity of oargo and a few passengers. The steamer Result, Capt. W. E. Baiter, left for Wairoa at 10 o'clock this morning, with a fair cargo and some passengers. The steam launch Bella, Capt. Green, sailed for tho Mohaka at noon to-day, taking a few tons of cargo. She is to take a load of posts from Mohaka to Wairoa before returning here. The s.s. Fairy, Captain Campbell, is load- ™" urj for Te Apiti, and will sail this evening, weather pe._>itting. The s.s. Sir Donald is to leave for Blackhead at 7 o'olock to-night, and will return with a load of sheep. The s.s. Maori will not take her departure for Mohaka before Thursday night. The three-masted schooner Mary Wadley will probably get away for Newcastle tomorrow night or the following morning. The cause of the stranding of the Maori at Mohaka was an attempt to take the bar too much to the northward. It had nothing whatever to do with the boilers, which are now undergoing repairs in accordance with instructions from the Government inspector. She will leave for Mohaka and the Wairoa on Thursday evening.
