Messrs H. Monteith and Co. report: —At our usual weekly sale at the Horse Bazaar on Saturday the horses forward were mostly of a secondary description, and for this class there is little demand. Sound young horses, good of their respective classes, are more inquired for, and these are saleable at a slight advance". Our quotations are as follows : — Heavy draughts,' to £50 ; medium do, £30 to £35 ; light harness, £16. to £20 ; good hacks, £18 to £26 ; station dp, £8 to £10. Produce—Oats, 2s 4d to & 6d ; maize, 3s 3d ; barley, 3s 3d ; rye grass ss'ed, 3s 6d to 4s ; cocksfoot, 3d per lb ; bran, so* 10s per ton ; potatoes, £3; bay, £3 10s to £4; chaff, £4 10 ; onions, lid per lb.
