The s.s. Kingarnoma, Captain H. W. Chatfield, arrived hero this moraine from Northern ports and Sydney. She had only a small quantity of cargo for here, which was lightered by the Three Brothers. The steamer left for Southern ports and Melbourne at 1.30 p.m. The following is the report, of her passage, for which we thank the purser: —left Sydney on the 3rd February at 5 p.m., arriving at Russell at 6.40 a.m. on the Bth; sailed at 2 p.m., reaching Auckland on the 9th at 2 a.m.; left on tbe 10th, calling at Gisborne on the 11th ; sailed ngain at 11.30 p.m., reaching Napier next morning at 7.30 a.m. Experienced fine weather from_ Sydney to Auckland, with strong head winds and high seas aoross the Bay of Plenty. The b.b. Result. Capt. Baxter, arrived from Wairoa at 10.30 a.m. this day,_ bringing a number of passengers, including the cricketing team, and about 9 tons of fruit. She is to leave again for Wairoa on Monday evening. Tin steamer Fairy Capt. Campbell, left for Pourerere and Blackhead at an early hour this morning. The s.s. Kiwi, Capt. Campbell, arrived from Wellington about eleven o'clock this morning, bringing a good cargo and_ several passengers. Sho was brought inside and moored at the cattle wharf at one o'clock. She reports having left Wellington at 5 p.m. on Thursday ; called at Glenburn, landing passengers and cargo. Experienced a strong N.E. wind, with a lumpy sea, to arrival. Phe is to lonve for Wellington at about 4.30 p.m. this day. Th.' union Company's s.s. Rotomahana, Captain Thomas Underwood, arrived here at 9.30 a.m. this day. after a passage of about 18 hours from Wellington against a fresh N. E. wind. She is the bearer of 90 tons of carso and 120 rams for this port, Which will be lightered ashore by the Sir Donald and ketch Admiral. She is advertised to leave for Northern ports at 5 o'clock tonight. 'J he barque Lochnagar, Captain Perriam, got under way early this morning, but be> fore she had got two lengths away from the moorings the wind failed her, and she was obliged to shack'e on to the buoy again. The s.s. Bella, Captain Dowell, is to leave for Wairoa this evening. The Silver Cloud was successfully moored at the end of the breastwork yesterday afternoon, and the coal is now being got out of her as rapidly as possible, preparalory to putting her on the hard for repairs. >~— ——« in iii i iii ——_—_—_«
