February 8. Yesterday Mr H. Vallance broke his lea while'trainiDg fHuntingdon. "Miss Fidler has commenced a series of cooking lectures in the Oddfellows' Hall. Tbe City Council last night endorsed the action of tbe Mayor in refusing permission to Simonsen's Opera Company to give a sacred concert at the Theatre Royal on Sunday evening. Tbe foundation stone of a new Jewish Synagoge was laid this afternoon.
