CORRECTIONS.

[To the Editor of the Daily Telegraph.] Sir, —Would you kindly permit me to rectify a few typographical errors which appeared in my letter of the 4th instant, and which doubtless were brought about by the horrid scrawl in which the letter was written. It is printed " I hope this will prove satisfactory to the engineer." This should read satisfactory to the enquirer. Again, you have the whole of the West Coast will be changed from a barren wilderness to a busy hive of " morning" enterprise, whicb'should read mining enterprise. Further on it is said limestone foundation ; this should be lirnetone formation. These are simple errors in themselves, but materially alter the sense of the letter. Trusting you will give this insertion,— I am, &c, Samuel Symms. February, 7, 1881.
