The Union Company's steamer Arawata, Capt. W. C. Sinclair, resumed her voyage for Sydney via Northern ports at 6.30 p.m., on Saturday. The schooner Orpheus, Captain James Dunn, arrived here on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Mercury Bay, which port she left on Monday last. Experienced light N.E. breeze and calms alternately during the run. She was towed inside by the Boojum on Saturday evening and was berthed at the breastwork, where she commences this morning to land her cargo of timber, consigned to Messrs C. Dolbel and Co. The steamer Bolla, Capt. Do well, returned from Mohaka on Saturday afternoon with wool.
The steamer Maori, Capt. Anderson, arrived from Wairoa and Mohaka on Saturday night, bringing a cargo of wool and maize for Messrs Kinross and Co. She leaves for Wairoa at about 12 o'clock tonight. The s.s. Result leaves for the Wairoa at midnight to-night. The Union Steam Ship Company's s.s. Te Anau, Capt. Carey, arrived here from Giaborne and Auckland at 8 o'clock yesterday morning. She brought about 80 tons of general cargo and 57 bales of wool, which Was lightered ashore by the Sir Donald and Three Brothers. She left for Southern ports and Melbourne at about 1.30 p.m. Tte Union Company's s.s. Rotomahana arrived at the Bluff from Australian ports at 11.40 a.m, to-day. She brings 119 saloon aud 67 steerage passengers for all ports. The Hon. Thomas Dick is a passenger by her for Wellington,
