CHRISTCHURCH.
January 27. A banquet will be given to the Australian cricketers on Saturday next. A five mile race between Fagon, of Auckland, and Woolerton, of Christchurch, for £30 a side, has been arranged to come off in six weeks.
The School Committee elections all passed off quietly. The Board of Reviewers under the Property Assessment Act met yesterday morning. The proceedings were private.
