THE HARBOR BOARD AND OUR PORT.
[To the Editoe of the Daily TELEaBAEB.] Sir, —May I mention what I think will be an easy way out of the present muddle in getting passengers on board the steamers, viz., at the next vacancies for members of the Harbor Board elect the agents for the Union Company and New Zealand Shipping Company to seats on the Board. I think we should then soon have sufficient depth of water to bring in both steamers and wool ships. By agents of course I mean bona fide employees of the companies, not Napier merchants who own lighters.—l am, &c, J. Sparrow. Napier, January 25,1881.
