Mr Russell's Lincolns have for many years occupied a forward position at the principal Shows in Canterbury and Otago, and this year, besides carrying off all the cups, were likewise successful in taking the fold medals for Champion Rams and Ewes at Timaru, Chrlstchurch, and Duneuin, and having established their supremacy by successfully competing with sheep from every flock of any note in the Middle Island, are now admitted to be the premier flock of Lincolns in New Zealand. The Rams now offered for sale having been most carefully bred have acquired a fixity of type, and for length of staple, density, and fineness of fleece are not to be surpassed.
