Entries for Race No- 3 will be received in the Committee's Room till noon on the 2nd March, and entries for Races Nos 7 and 9 will he received at the post. 3. All entries to be accompanied by entrance fees and colors, and to be addressed to the Secretary, Ciiterion Hotel, Napier 4. No entry will be received after the stated hour and date on any pretence whatever 5. First race to start at 6. All Races to be rowed under Henley Rules 7. The decisions of the Umpire and Judge shall in all cases be final. 8. For this Regatta—By an Amateur shall be understood the reverse of a Professional as defined by the "Australasian" of October 25th, 1879, viz. :— " A professional rower Is a person who has earned or is earning his living on the water ; who has been engaged in boat-buiiding, or letting or tending of boats; who has competed against watermen at any Regatta ; or who has rowed for or received a money prize, or taken money in recognition of his Bkill in rowing. " 8. Each pulling boat shall carry a distinguishing flag. 10. In the case of a " walk over " no public money will be given. 11. No second prize will be awarded in any race unless there be three starters.
