fTo THE EDITOB OF THE DAILY TeLEGEAPH. ] Sir, —I have been long a subscriber to tha Athenseum. In this institution there is a book for suggestions. I was edified this morning by reading the following : —" No notice can be taken of suggestions unless signed by a member of the body corporate (sic). —W. I. Spenceb, President." For a long time persons without the door of this institution, whose blood was not blue, have thought they were not desirable as members. I now believe the fact. The form, whilome outside the building, but under tho verandah, is gone ! Perhaps stolen ! Who knows ? On that form I used to smoke and philosophise. Regret is useless. I there shall smoke no more. With a sincere hope that the " cold corpuses " of the " body corporate " may be consigned to the " lunar limbo," I beg to say thatjone subscriber's money will not be forthcoming at the ensuing quarter. Cicero, Socrates, Dp Johnson, or Bill Sykes says, " that the last straw breaks the camel's back." Cicero, &c, are right. Mine is broken. lam now a
