DUNEDIN.

January 14. Respecting Edwards' challenge, the Star is authorised to state that young Scott is willing to walk him a twentyfour hours contest in conformity ,with the challenge previously issued for any sum up to £500. Should Edwards decline these terms, Mr Austin will match Scott against him for both a twenty-four and forty-eight hours match for £100 a side each. Bannerman and Eonner do not come over with the Australian eleven. The former had a disagreement, and the latter's leg is too bad. Their places will be filled by Tindall and Scott.
