[To the Editoe of the Daily Telegeaph.] Sib,—ls it any portion of the duties cf a clergyman to canvass from house to house ? Is it the usual thing for a minister of religion who is about to sever hia connection with a town, to employ himself in election matters on behalf of one of his flock ? I don't mention names; I merely seek for information. I had thought that the days of priestly influence were over. A prayer-book under a clergyman's arm would be more becoming than an electoral roll.
