A letter appears in the Argus drawing attention to the disagreement which exists between the New Zealand and New South Wales Governments regarding the tariff for telegraph messages between Australia and New Zealand. Negotiations for the reduction of the tariff consequent on the departure of the cable repairing ship Agnes from Australia were proceeding for some time, but finally failed.
