WELLINGTON.
January 10. Rumors are current that a well-known getter-up of sweeps, who recently drew one for £4000 on the Wellington Cup,
was a passenger by the last outward mail steamer for 'Frisco. He left here per Hawea, his family having previously left under an assumed name per theßotorua. The drawers of horses are in despair.
