,—*> A match, Married v. Single, was afterguards arranged, with nine competitors on each side. At the 400 yards tho shooting was equal, but the Single had 10 points to the good at the 200 yards, thus winning by that number. The shooting for the Challenge Cup between teams of seven selected from the Artillery and Rifle Association took place this morning, commencing soon after 5' o'clock, and terminating about 8. At the 200 yards the Association men wore 14 to the good, and their chances of success looked well, but the Artillery pulled up at the 300 yards, and again at the 400 yards, eventually winning a well contested match by four points. Mr Pell captained the Artillery, and Mr Joseph Chicken the Association team. This concluded the most successful meeting of the kind yet held in Hawke's Bay. The arrangements were good •■, throughout, thanks to the unwearied exertions of Mr Pram the secretary, the committee of management, and the jßßcers in charge of the firing. ne following are tne scores in the last 0 three matches: — CONSOLATION match.
