Annual Phize Fieing.
o*. The firing for the silver cup presented by His Worship the Mayor commenced l this morning at 8 o'clock at the TukaeI, kuri range. The weather was fine, and F \he wind light until nearly noon, when a ' slight thuuder shower passed over, but it did not interfere with the firing to any extent. The ranges were 200, 300, 400 jf and 500 yards, shooting from any position. There were 26 entries for thi3 event, and at 2 o'clock the firing at three raogcs had been finished. Ross was the highest scoier at 200 yards, wintiitig the range prize with a possible 20. Gilpin pulled off the 300 yards range prize v/ith 17, and Wilson the 400 yards with 19. Up to the present Joseph Chicken's total is two points above all cosap«jtitors. The following are the scores up to the time of our going to press. SiLVER Cttp (presented by Mayor.)
