To the Editor of the Southern Cross
I Sir,— Having seen several letters lately in the i Times and the Southern Cross on Sacred Music, the Church, &c, I venture to solicit your insertion of this to request the Trustees of St. Paul's Church, to give for the information of the Public an account of all monies received by them; also a detailed account of the coat of all materials, and the way in which they [have expended the several sums entrusted to their charge for the erection of the Church, &c. I would feel also obliged if you could inform me who the Trustees are •, — what is done with the Pew Rents, and monies collected the first Sunday of every month at the Church. . I am, &c, &c , A SUBSCRIBER. Auckland, November 29, 1843. [The request contained in the above letter is so reasonable that we doubt not the Trustees will at once accede to it. The Subscribers have certainly a right to know how their money has been expended. We are sorry we cannot enlighten our corresponcent on the subject of the latter part of his letter, not being a member of St. Paul's Church. He had better either apply to the Rev. Mr, Churton, or to the Bishop for this information. — Ed.]
