OBITUARY

Mrs. W. E. D. Ramsay

Widespread sympathy will be felt for Mrs. T. C. A. Hislop, former mayoress 5f Wellington, in the loss of her'mother, Mrs. Ramsay, whose death occurred in Wellington last night. Mrs. Ramsay enme to live in Wellington from Christchurch after the death of her husband, Mr. W. E. Dalhousie Ramsay, in 193-1. Though' she took no active part in the public life of her daughter, she became known to a wide circle of friends among whom her courage ami integrity of character were tjnieb admired. The funeral service will be hold at St. Michaels Anglican Church. Kelburtt. at 3.30 p.m. today. _ Mr. F. S. H. Jacobsen The death occurred this week of Mr. F. S. 11. Jacobsen, of Seatoun. A son of the lale Mr. I’. F. Jacobsen, architect, he was educated at Wellington College, and took a prominent part in many sports. He was a member of the Star Boating Club and the, St. Andrew's Golf Club. He was a member of the Commercial Travellers' Club for 34 years anti was well known throughout New Zealand ns a commercial traveller till 1937, when he joined the Land and Indome Tax Department. Mr. Jacobsen, who served in the Great War in the Machinegun Corps, is survived by his wife and two children, also two sisters. Mrs. IL R. Ward and Miss C. Jacobsen.
