An inquiry into the activities of industrial insurance companies was urged by Mr. DENHAM (L., Invercargill) in notice of a question to the Minister of Justice, Mr. Mason. He suggested that particular attention should be paid to the amount lost .by contributors through the lapsing of policies, the high cost of collecting premiums, and the low, and sometimes negligible surrender value of policies which had been in operation for many years.
