Crippled Schoolgirls’ Holiday Party Small girls from the Wellington city area to Eastbourne, Petone qud Lower Hutt, all crippled, but able to get about without assistance and to attend school, spent an entertaining two hours yesterday afternoon at the New Zealand Crip-
pled Children Society’s Wellington branch rooms in Brandon House.
.They watched a film screeening, followed the adventures of Mickey Mouse and other fupny favourites with absorbed attention and .afterward sat down to a table with plenty of soft drinks and party fare. The .entertainment, arranged for the seven to twelve year-olds group by the society’s women’s service auxiliary under the chairmanship of Mrs. E. W. Hunt, will be repeated next week, for crippled boys. It is intended that arrangements will be made for other crippled children to attend similar afternoons and a later date.. Fifty children were invited to yesterday’s party', and the films were screened by courtesy of Mr. H. Richardson, of the Kilbirnie Kinema.
