STATEMENT REFUTED
Trial Of East Indies Airmen (Received August 22, 7 p.m.) LONDON, August 21. The Netherlands Indies Army, in a statement, denies that the three East Indies airmen were executed as spies. The three men were convicted, not tor disloyalty, but for conspiracy ami desertion, and were sentenced to imprisonment ranging from 20 years to life, adds the statement.
