TRAINING OF DISABLED SERVICEMEN
That ISS disabled servicemen trom World War II were being- trained for new trades and occupations by the Disabled Servicemen’s Ke-establlshment League, was reported nt a recent meeting ot the league in Wellington. Employment had been given to 88 afflicted men from the last war; 35 disabled civilians and 35 instructors. Eighty-eight recently disabled servicemen had completed their training- with the league and had all been placed in private industry or had been established in business on their own account. Forty-six from the first world war and 27 from the second world war were manufacturing goods in their own homes for sale in the disabled servicemen’s shops throughout New Zealand.
