Mr. Anderson Tyner, 'Wellington, went to Auckland by air yesterday. Lieut.-Colonel F. Waite, who has been in (he South Island, passed through Wellington yesterday on his way to Auckland. Lieiit.-Commandcr 11. Wynne-Jones, R.N.Z.N.R., Auckland, was presented with the It.N.H. Officers’ Decoration recently at New Zealand House, London. Lieut.-Commander Wynne-Jones was commissioned in 1925, and he trained for the Itoyal Navy from 1929-30. During the war he has served in New Zealand waters, commanding anti-submarine aud minesweeping vessels for four years. He served also in the Leander, and is at present on loan to the Royal' Navy, serving in escort vessels accompanying Atlantic convoys.
