WILLIAMSON’S COMEDY SEASON
This evening at the Opera House. J. C. Williamson’s taleule<l comedy company will present the iinnl production here of Bauhel Crothcr’s entertaining comedydrama. “Susan and God.” Tomorrow afternoon and evening the company will stage tlie fir.-t two performances here of the much looked forward to comedy, “The .Alan Who Came to Dinner,” which has the reputation of being one of the most successful plays known on tlie Englishspeaking stage. It is founded on the eccentricities of one of America’s oustanding personuliiies and it is said that Lloyd Lumblc’s brilliant characterization is one of Hie linest tlie New Zealand ritage has wilnessed. -Miss Neva Carr Glyu also lias 11 line part to enact as Lorraine Sheldon, and she, !«>o, lias achieved one <»f her best sHfresscs. This applies also to Betlin.’i Welch, the young Now Zealand actress. who is at her best in the role entr'isted to her.
