Three applications for taxicab licence Iratisfi-rs. in which ox-servicemen with overseas service. were concerned. were approved by tlm Wellington Licensing Anlhorily yesterday. In two eases' where the applicants were ex-servicemen with home service only (he applicalions wore deferred to a later ditto, in the hope Hint in the meanlimo the car OAvners will follow the authority's proposal, that, they endeavour to dispose of their taxis to tAVo new buyers. who shall bo ex-ser-vicemen with clear claims for rohabilit,!timi preference.
Tlm transfers approved were: L. J. Jones to L. A’. Edbouse; S. M. Morgan to V. (J. Jacobs; It. L. Anderson to r. IT. Davis.
