Variation In Coupon Value Though seasonal increases of Id. a lb. in the retail prices of veal and mutton will operate in the North Island from today to August 19, variation in the value of the II meat ration coupon will not take place till August 1. The scale of coupon values adopted when meat rationing was introduced provided that from this date to August 19 this coupon will have a value of 7d. instead of 6d., as at present. This will bring the monetaary value of the weekly meat ration up Io 1/10. Compensating adjustments in the value of the II coupon will also be made in accordance with other alterations in the price schedule. The coupon values in the North Island for the year are as follows:—January 1 to June 30. 1/9; July 1 to July 31, 1/9; August 1 to August 19, 1/10; August 20 to September 30. 1/11; October 1 to October 31. 1/11; November 1 to November 30. l/,10; December 1 to December 31, 1/9.
