WILLIAMSON’S COMEDY COMPANY
This afternoon and this evening, also on Monday and Tuesday nights, the J. C. Williamson Comedy Company will present the final pcrformance.s of “Susan and God,” which has proved one of the most entertaining plays seen in Wellington iu recent years. The theme of the play is original, and there is an abundance of genuine coinedv scenes and situations. On Wednesday afternoon and evening, and following nights, the company will present for the first time here the very amusing and very clever comedy-drama, “The Mau Who Came to Dinner.” The dialogue is bright, crisp and satirical, and in it the talented artist«s Lloyd Lamble and Neva Carr Glyn are said to receive every opportunity to show’ that they are two very fine exponents of comedy and drama. “The Man Who Came to Dinner” created something like a sensation when it was first staged iu New York, and in Auckland the company achieved oue of its best successes. Its season there had to be extended- to three weeks, and even then it was withdrawn while it was still attracting record audiences.
