HASTINGS. June 29. Showers this morning made times slower aa the day progressed when the Anal gallops for Saturday were pertoxmed. There was nothing of an outstanding na ture, most trainers being content with ea Q‘ueen’s° P Charm, who is a very fit seeing. went with Royal Duce. who is showing improvement; and ran the furlongs Gold Quest and Leghorn (Legatee —White Bird) ran the same course in wf. Hula Chief went much better than Saturday's showing would suggest when be ran away from Penta over live furlongs in 64J. Desert Ace was under restraint when registering 55 over five. White Cap, with a light weight early recorded the best four when returning ofl. She races in Saturday’s maiden. Greenfeast was trailing Indian Sport all the way in a seven-furlong working gallop, the last four occupying 55. Boulder Dam. looking much better for last week's race, moved freer than ho has done of late when running six furlongs comfortably in 1.21. Circular recorded the same tlnio with a lightweight on top. Alienate, going easily alongside k iddler’s Green, returned 1.22} for six, Foxspear, not handling the loose ground very well, took 07 1-5 for five furlongs. Rough Passage, under restraint, ran four In 53. Nightward was working easier than Royal Pageant at the end of eix furlongs In 1.20. Beneve was going better than Fairy Godmother over five in 67}, and Magnus Lux took 68 for the same distance, but was against the bit for the first part. Over the same course Yarrnmananna had the measure of St. Bill in 68. Master Gary beat, a mate over four in 52}. Both in fine forward condition. First Edition and Blue Title returned 1.224 for six and could have done better. Master Meruit was eoing better than Alondl at the end of six furlongs In 1.21. Arai could have improved on her 53 to run half a mile, the same applying to Pink Bonnet, who held Roto Papaera safely over the same distance. Cardonesa and Gayest Son ran the last three of five In 40, and Sunny Rosa went 11 for the same course. The best three went to the credit of Walk Off who recorded 39} from a standing start.
