RIGHT TO FREEHOLD
Soldiers On Crown Land A decision to initiate a Dominion-wide campaign to obtain the right of freehold tenure for soldier settlers under the Small Farms Amendment Act. was reached by the R.S.A. Dominion council conference hist night. This remit, from Te Aroha, had been recommended for deletion by the lands committee, but was reinstated on a vote. It was also unanimously agreed that exservice settlers on Crown lands having by war service earned the right, to acquire the freehold, the Dominion executive committee urge the Government to grant this without delay.
