“SUSAN AND GOD”
A play like “Susan and God,” which has enjoyed long overseas runs and in motion picture form at one national ” aI J» must have something / in it. Another Wellington audience found just what this was last night when the J. C. Williamson Company was given another appreciative reception. Particularly .so was this accorded Neva Carr Glynn, making her first appearance of the season in this play, anfl Lloyd Lamble, who was seen to even better advantage than in ’’Arseuic-and Old Lace." These two stood out., but June Mendoza, in a youngster’s part, was good and the rest of the cast presented a balanced performance, none creating contrasts by outshining the other. Jlollle Brown, a local player, deserved all the applause she got. ’’Susan and God will continue the season tonight and till next week. -
