GENERAL RATE. A General Rate for, the purpose of the Borough under Section 77 of the “Municipal Corporations Act 1933” of three and seven-eighths pence (3 7-Bd.) in the £1 on the Unimproved Value (£263,000) of all rateable property in the Borough of Eastbourne. HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID BOARD. A Hospital Rate under the provisions of the “Hospital and Charitable Aid Act 1925” and the “Municipal Corporations Act 1933” of two and three-eighths pence (2 3-Bd.) in the £1 on the Unimproved Value (£263,000) of all rateable property In the Borough of Eastbourne. And that the following Special Rates be struck in terms of and under authority of Special Orders in that, behalf on the Unimproved Value (£263,000) of all rateable property In the Borough of Eastbourne. Consolidated Conversion Loan Rate of one and three-quarter pence (lid.) in the £l. Water and Drainage Loan Rate Of two and three-eighths pence (2 3-Bd.) in the £l. REFUSE COLLECTION FEE. An annual refuse collection fee under Section 90 of the “Municipal Corporations Act 1933” of 20/- on all rateable property in the Borough of Eastbourne having a building erected thereon. WATER SUPPLY RATE. A Water Supply Rate under Section 81 of the "Municipal Corporations Act 1933” of one pence halfpenny (lid.) in the £1 on the Unimproved Value (£263,000) of all rateable property in the Borough of Eastbourne. AND it is further notified that all such rates will be payable in one instalment on the Ist day of August, 1944, at the Office of the Council, situated at the Ferry Wharf, Wellington. A discount of 5 per cent, will be allowed on all rates paid within 30 days of date of demand.
