Grand Coulee Recovered Dominion Special servi. e. HASTINGS, June 27. Grand Coulee has fully recovered from the jaw abscess which prevented him from starting on Saturday, and is in active work again. He was not entered for Saturday’s patriotic fixture. Several Hawke’s Bay h<»r.ses will leave early next week f-or Wellington. Some will be going to Trentham only for the second day oni July 15. With the majority of local horses having raced on Saturday there was not a great deal of fast work this morning. The conditions were perfect. White Cap, who resumes racing in the maiden on Saturday, showed speed for the first quarter, hut was beaten a length by Foxspear over half a mile run in 51. Alone, Circular Note ran a good once round in 1.42. He has never carried more muscular condition than at present. Peter’s Girl showed improvement to beat Desert Ace and Zingari Song over three furlongs in 46. Others to sprint this distance were Jingle Jangle. 40: Alondl. 394; Yarraroananna and Sunny Rosa. 4*l-). Master Gary easily bent a galloping-mate over tour furlongs in 52J, time that was equalled by Beneve and Fairy Godmother. Glad Fox took 53 for the same course.

Queen's Charm, a remarkably fit horse, moved freely in pace work. He and Kauri Queen (a Trial Plate candidate) are going to Trentham onlv for the second day.
The only schooling was that by Alienate and Faultless, who gave a finished display of hurdling Alienate did not start last Saturday because his owner was unable to be present through illness.
