PROGRESS IN BURMA

KANDY. June 25. Chinese troops advancing south from Kamaing have made further progress. In the Myifkyina area American troops are advancing south along the Maingna ferry road in the face of Japanese machinegun and mortar fire. Other Americans are astride the Radhapur road aud have advanced tp a point .1 mile south of the junc'ion ot the Suprabum and Mogauug roads. Thrusting into the hills 20 or 30 miles north of Imphal and cast of the Kohimn road, our troops have maintained their pursuit of the Japanese.
