Seme sparkling play was seen in the Rugby League fixture at Newtown Park on Saturday, when Miramar scored a convincing win over Aotea. The positional play of both -sides was good. ’ I’ressing home every attack, Miramar deserved to win, though Aotea gave a sound display. Their only weakness seemed to be a lack of defensive tactics. The final score was Miramar 19 (two tries by Minnick, tries'by G-ollop, Prince and Chandler, and two conversions by Gollop), Aotea la (tries by Morgan, one try by Apatu, and two conversions by Greenland, who also kicked a penalty goal). Loose forward rushes marked the game in which Army beat Central-St, George. Play was ragged, enlivened sometimes by Army back movements. The score was: Army 24 (two tries by Lauder, tries bj c Desmond. Hills and Carruthers; two conversions by Croslands, and a conversion by Richards, who also kicked a penalty goal), Central-St. George 4 (two penalty goals by Maclean). Rand wick A 2C> (tries by Steele, Moses, Waldie and Tledborg, two tries by Gauche, conversions by Fleming aud o’•Halloran), beat Petone 8 (two tries by Debnoy, who also kicked a penalty goal). Korodale 22 (tries by Hazelwood, Martin, 'H. Kreyl, Prince, iMullinder and G. Kreyl, conversion by Mullinder and a field goal by Martin), beat Newtown 11 (two tries by Loutaatau,’a try by Collins, one conversion by Gordon). Other results: Randwick B 8.
