BAKERS AGAINST FIVEDAY WEEK That, on a Dominion basis, the five-day week would not be in the best interest of either the public or the trade, was the decision reached at a recent meeting of Wellington master bakers and pastrycooks. The meeting also considered and adopted certain amendments to the rules of the Wellington Master Bakers’ Industrial Union of Employers. An attendance of 30 members was presided over by Mr. H. E. Fairey.
