Farewell To Mr. Boswell
APPOINTMENT OF STAFF The recently-appointed New Zealand Minister to Moscow, Mr. C. W. Boswell, who will be leaving New Zealand shortly to take up his post in Russia, was farewelled by members of the Government at a function in the Cabinet room yesterday afternoon. Speeches were made by the Acting-Prime Minister, Mr. Sullivan, who presided, the High Commissioner in New Zealand for the United Kingdom, Sir Harry Batterbee, the president of the Federation of Laboufy Hon. A. McLagan, and by the president of the New Zealand Labour Party, Mr. James Rqberts. Mr. Boswell, who left Wellington for Auckland by the Limited express last night, will proceed to Moscow via the United States of America and the United Kingdom. Mr. Boswell’s staff will comprise Mr. R. T. G. Patrick, first secretary; Mr. D. P. Costello, second secretary, who is in the United Kingdom, where he was discharged after serving with the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force; Mr. A. K. Perry, second secretary; and Miss R. M. Macky, archivist.
