Mr. F. W. Dawson, a former general manager of the Bank of New Zeal-mi, has been appointed a shareholders’ director of tlie bank to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Mr. A. E. Mabin, till an election can be held and a permanent appointment made. Mr. T. A. Roberts, manager for New Zealand of ihe Nestle and Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Co. (Australasia) Ltd . who has completed 33 years’ service wi’h the company. will retire, on June 30. B“fore going to Australia in 1911. Mr. Roberts was closely associated wjth the Nestle interests in England. Mr. W. Appleton, following his election to the Wellington mayoralty, has given up his position as local bodies' representative on the Wellington Rehabilitation Committee. The committee has decided to place on record its appreciation of bis services as chairman of the loans mid finance committee. Mr. T. G. Taylor, who has returned from service in the Middle East, has succeeded him as chairman. •
