FREE INFORMATION
Value Among Nations (Received June 22, 10 p.m.) NEW YORK, June 21. Free exchange of information among nations after the war is a major necessity for the successful operation of the world security organization to which Britain, America, Russia and China have committed themselves, said Mr. Adolf Berle, Assistant Secretary of State, at a foreign Press dinner. Mr. Berle added; “Misrepresentations and plain lies may be started under the system of a free Press, but they are not apt to last long. One the other hand, where there is free access to the fiews and freedom of transmission the truth must eventually emerge, and with freedom of information there is always a possibility of understanding among peoples.”
