Lamb Timber Company has declared a final dividend ot 3 per cent., making 6 per cent, for the year, an unchanged rate, payable on July 1. The Taupo Totara Timber Co., Ltd., advises that transfer books close June 21-23 Inclusive for the purposes of paying the preference dividend. The National Bank ot New Zealand Ltd.’s final dividend of 2J per eent, is payable on August 9 at any branch of the bank in New Zealand at the buying rate of exchange current at that date for demand drafts on London, R. and E. Tingey and Co.. Ltd., announce that the half-yearly dividend of 3 per cent, on the preference shares in the company, free from social security and national security taxes, will be payable on June 30. The transfer books will not be closed. N.Z. Breweries, Ltd. At the annual meeting of New Zealand Breweries Ltd. yesterday, the chairman, Mr. D. W. Madden, said that the increased turnover during the past year was reflected in the gross, profit, which amounted to £1,013.176, an increase of £211,256 on the previous year. Trade expenses and charges continued to increase, and including provision for taxation, amounted to £895.527, an increase of £201,674, resulting in a net profit of £1i11,648, an increase of £O5Bl.
