UNREASONABLY HIGH PRICE ALLEGED
The r'liurging <>f unreasonably high prices was alleged against the Wellington I’ .riiisliing firm of Kenner’s. Ltd., when eight clmrges by the Price Tribunal came before the rates Court, AYcllington yesterday. The charges related to n sale of furniture, under a hire-purchase agreement, to the woman lessee of a private hotel. One charge was that the unreasonably high price of £2168/16/S, plus interest of 10 per cent-, had been charged for a quantity of furniture, tho other seven referred to the sale of 11 luggage stools at £l/10/- ench. five mirrors at £5/4/0 each. 21 duchesses at £7/10/6 ench, 1G duchesses at £B/10/6 each, 21 yards of linoleum nt £l/13/- a yard, and 32 dtnittg-ehtth’s and 44 bedroom chairs at. £l/4/0 each. A plea <>f not. guilty was entered by counsel for defendant, Dr. O. C. Mazengarb. Mr. W. 11. (’unninghnm appeared for the prosecution. Tim hearing will be continued today.
