WILLIAMSON COMEDY SEASON

This afternoon and evening and s>n Thursday and Friday evenings, J. C. Williamson’s all-star comedy company will present their tine performance of “Arsenic and Old Lace,” On Saturday afternoon and evening, and on following evenings, tliej- will appear in Rachel Crother’s provocative comedy, “Susan and God." This tells of a woman’s sudden, selfish and snobbish conversion to a new religious movement, her determination to convert her friends, regardless of their wishes and their privacies, and the exclusion of her husband from the circle of her missionary theme, “Susan and God” will present, for the first time during the -present season, the brilliant young actress, Neva Carr Glyn, who achieved such a success in Auckland ill the role of Susan. The part of Barrie gives opportunities for Lloyd Lamble to display his versatility, the role being totally different from the one lie portrays in the opening piece. June Mendoza, who will appear here for the first time, is said to be excellent as Blossom. Ruth Montgomerie will also make her debut here in “Susan and God.” Others in the east are John Tate, Allen Christie. Bettina Welch, Lily Moore, Frank Bradley and Alan Rankin.
