ILLEGAL PHOTOGRAPHY
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, June 20.
What was described by the prosecution as a "stupid act" led to two members of a ship’s company appearing before Mr. H. C. Abernethy. S.M., in the Magistrates’ Court today. Richard A. P. Foxley, aged 20, fourth mate, pleaded guilty to taking a photograph of a port without a permit, and John H. Robbins, aged 19 years, ship’s steward, pleaded guilty to taking a photograph of a ship without a permit. Each man elected to be dealt with by the magistrate. Senior-Detective It. Thompson said that the prosecution did not regard the present ♦(fences as serious but more in the nature of a stupid act. The prosecution was not pressing for a heavy penalty. Each defendant was fined £2. with 10/oosts
