Auckland Ambulance Station

(By Association.) AUCKLAND, June 20. A cheque has been lodged by Sir Frank and Lady Mappin, Epsom, for the purchase of the old central fire-station, in Pitt Street for presentation to the St. John Ambulance Association. The purchase is subject to the sanction of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Parry, and the Local Government Loans Board. Sir Frank and Lady Mappin are also making available a sum of money to renovate the premises and make them suitable for use as pn ambulance station. It is understood that the amount involved has been tentatively fixed at £lO,OOO.
