MUCH BOOTY TAKEN
Partisans In Yugoslavia (British Official Wireless.) (Received June 20, 7 p.m.) RUGBY June 19. Eight thousand Germans, Chetniks and Ustashi were killed in the seventh German offensive in. western Bosnia between May 25 and June 10, states Marshal Tito’s communique. As a result of the complete failure l of this offensive, the Croat provinces of Kordun and Banija have been completely cleared of enemy troops. Among war material captured or destroyed were 1600 rifles, 19 trench-mor-tars, three planes. 21 tanks, 16 guns, 40 machineguns, 70 lorries, 19 railway trains and 157 wagons with ammunition and war material. In eastern Bosnia, the enemy has lost 1500 men in fighting in the Majevica mountains. In the area of Sogkovac, an aerodrome and several planes were destroyed and thousands of gallons of petrol went up in flames. Marshal Tito’s forces have cleared the district of Herzegovina in Yugoslavia of Germans. Ten Allied pilots were freed from captivity.
